This application, ideal for any type of tunnel, involves the installation of an additional cooling battery compared to those required for the normal process. Each battery is equipped with sophisticated mechanical closure systems, allowing defrosting during the tunnel's usual operation without altering the freezing air temperature. The batteries are defrosted individually at regular intervals. During the defrosting process, the involved battery closes the dampers separating it from the tunnel environment, stops the fans, and initiates defrosting using dedicated systems such as electric, hot gas, or water systems. Once dried with the fan, it reopens the dampers and resumes operation, while another battery enters the defrosting cycle.

This system is particularly well-suited for tunnels handling unpackaged products, especially for hot products with steam emissions. In this way, the time between general defrosting cycles becomes practically infinite, ensuring optimal and continuous operation of the freezing process.
