Fluidized bed tunnel for the deep-freezing of cubed or granulated products with a high water content, such as cooked cereals, cooked rice and especially scorched peas.

The tunnel consists of two perforated horizontal conveyor belts and a high-flow ventilation system that causes the granules to be suspended in a bed of air vertically travelling.

The air temperature (blown at -40 °C) allows the immediate freezing of small granules. Once below zero the product will no longer form lumps and will therefore be available in free flowing for all subsequent processes.
